Shake Shack now counts kiosk, app and web orders in digital sales. It excludes orders placed through third-party delivery platforms. [Quarterly filing](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1620533/000162053326000041/shak-20260930.htm)

Shake Shack originally reported $164.5 million in digital sales for the 13 weeks ended July 1, or 40.8% of company-operated Shack sales. Recalculating that quarter yielded $237.93 million, or 59.0%, up 18.2 percentage points. Digital sales rose $2.25 million to $240.18 million in the quarter ended September 30. Shack sales grew faster, lowering digital’s share to 58.9%. In the November 5 shareholder letter, CFO Michelle Hook credited third-party delivery and the chain’s own digital channels with higher traffic at comparable Shacks. Other operating expenses reached 16.1% of Shack sales, versus 15.2% a year earlier. The company cited higher delivery commissions and more frequent openings. CEO Rob Lynch said most orders inside a Shack go through kiosks. Guests who sign up for the app or offers can redeem offers there, and Shake Shack can track purchases. Both explain the change, Lynch said. [Call Q&A](https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/shak/transcripts/725041-q3-2026/)

Lynch wants the loyalty program to recognize returning guests and remember past orders. He said Shake Shack might test it in fiscal Q4 2026 or Q1 2027 if his team feels confident it can deliver that experience. [Lynch’s response](https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/shak/transcripts/725041-q3-2026/)
