Overview

QSR Pro is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide our service:

  • Email addresses: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address to send you updates and articles.
  • Newsletter engagement: We may measure delivery, opens, and link clicks to understand whether the newsletter is reaching readers and which coverage is useful. Open measurements can be affected by email privacy features and do not prove that someone read a message.
  • Optional reader profiles: You may share your role, company, business type, restaurant brands, location range and country. We store these answers with your newsletter subscription to improve coverage and describe our audience in aggregate. We may separately record dated public sources about professional roles and organizations; these are kept distinct from your answers. Individual profile answers, source records and email addresses are not shared with sponsors. Completing a profile does not change your email preferences.
  • Analytics data: We use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site (page views, time on site, etc.).
  • Technical data: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URLs) for security and performance monitoring.

How We Use Your Information

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties
  • We do not share your email with advertisers or partners

Cookies and Browser Storage

We use browser storage to remember your theme and newsletter reminder preferences. Newsletter preferences contain no email address or visitor identifier. Signing up or selecting “Already subscribed” hides reminders in that browser until its storage is cleared. Dismissing a reminder hides it for 90 days; an unanswered reminder is shown no more than once every 30 days. These preferences do not carry across devices.

Vercel Web Analytics measures usage without analytics cookies. Google Analytics also runs on this site and can use first-party cookies to measure visits. We also use a random browser identifier that expires after 90 days and a session identifier that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Our first-party measurement stores hashed versions of these identifiers with page paths, campaign tags and engagement events. It does not store email addresses, raw IP addresses or full referring URLs. Ordinary visits remain pseudonymous. Future personalized newsletter links may associate subsequent activity with a subscription as explained below; we do not use them to identify earlier anonymous visits. We also record coarse country, referring hostname, reading activity and automated-traffic signals, including Vercel’s background BotID Basic browser check, to distinguish likely readers from automation. These signals are used for measurement, not to deny access to content. Staff and test activity can be marked separately. This measurement respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Signup records may separately include the newsletter campaign that brought you here. You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings.

Newsletter links and reading activity

Personalized newsletter links may contain a random code that lets our private measurement system associate article visits, visible reading time, reading progress and return visits with the subscription that received the link. The code contains no email address and cannot sign you in or reveal your profile. It is removed from the address bar before our analytics scripts run. We do not pass this association or your email address to Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics or advertisers.

A first-party cookie can remember this association for up to 30 days, limited by the link’s expiry. A forwarded link may associate another person’s activity with its original recipient, so this is not proof of who read an article. We keep this identified reading history for 90 days, with expired associations removed by daily maintenance. Unsubscribing or suppression stops new associations; deleting a subscription removes its reading associations. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent collection by this first-party system. Turning linking off below changes only this browser’s measurement setting, not your newsletter subscription or other site analytics.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel: Hosting and analytics (privacy policy:vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
  • Supabase: Database hosting (privacy policy:supabase.com/privacy)
  • Resend: Newsletter and transactional email delivery, unsubscribe handling, and email engagement measurement (privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
  • TradingView: Embedded stock quotes. Your browser connects directly to TradingView when the ticker loads. TradingView may collect technical and usage information, including IP address, browser details, and widget interactions, under its own privacy policy.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time (link in every email)
  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify subscribers of any material changes via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
