Gregorys Coffee is turning its existing cafés into franchise recruiting venues. It has scheduled four East Coast open houses where prospects can examine the business alongside the people offering franchise support.
The April 1 announcement lists Washington, D.C., on April 7 and Old Bridge, New Jersey, on April 8. Paramus, New Jersey, and Darien, Connecticut, are both scheduled for April 9. Each event is scheduled for 4–7 p.m. Eastern. Gregorys' franchise tour announcement
The recruitment message addresses several kinds of investors. Gregorys is seeking experienced multi-unit entrepreneurs, qualified owner-operators and strategic investors. The company says the events will introduce its coffee program, café formats and operations through face-to-face conversations.
Using an operating café puts the consumer offer and franchise pitch in the same setting. A prospect can connect the menu and physical format with questions about running that business. The event itself is still an introduction: the announcement reports interest, without identifying resulting franchise awards or development commitments.
February's launch outlined the recruiting format#
Gregorys formally launched its franchise program February 13. That announcement scheduled its first franchise open house for February 17 at 2070 US-9 in Old Bridge, the same café included in April's itinerary. Prospects were invited to sample coffee, explore the café and meet company leadership. Franchise program launch
The February release also described the support offered through Craveworthy Brands. It starts with site selection, onboarding and store training, followed by operating guidance. The wider support remit includes real estate, supply chain, culinary, marketing and technology.
That is the business discussion behind the tasting. Selecting a coffee brand involves both the product a guest buys and the organization an owner will depend on. A café visit makes the first part tangible; the stated support structure gives the recruiting team a second subject to explain.
The launch identified urban neighborhoods, commuter hubs, college towns and lifestyle centers as target settings. It named several potential regions nationally, while the April tour concentrates the immediate recruitment effort along the East Coast. The release did not identify franchise sites awarded in those regions.
Investment came before the franchise launch#
Craveworthy's role dates to August 8, 2025, when it and investment partners announced an investment and managing partnership in Gregorys. The parties included Branded Hospitality, Everstar Asset Management, Harborfield Management and Kitchen Fund. Financial terms and ownership percentages were not provided in the announcement. Investment and management partnership
Founder Gregory Zamfotis was to remain president of the brand. Craveworthy said it would manage and provide expertise in functions including operations and training. The release also said Gregorys' New York City roastery would continue supplying its locations with coffee roasted to order.
The arrangement connected a founder-led product business with a broader restaurant support organization. That division helps explain April's recruiting message: prospective owners are being offered Gregorys' café identity together with Craveworthy's operating infrastructure.
The 2025 investment announcement anticipated franchising in that year's fourth quarter; the dated program launch followed in February 2026. The releases do not explain the difference between the expected and announced timing.
