Wonder outlined four Grubhub integrations on June 4, connecting restaurant discovery on Eater and Beli with voice ordering through Alexa+ and delivery-credit redemption through Bilt.

The company’s announcement groups together different consumer actions. Two start with a restaurant recommendation. Another carries a conversation through checkout. The fourth converts an existing rewards balance into delivery spending.

On select Eater Maps, restaurant pages now include Grubhub ordering links within Eater’s website and app. Beli similarly places links on restaurant pages, connecting the service’s discovery and ranking activity with ordering on Grubhub. A recommendation can therefore become the starting point for a transaction without the diner first searching inside the delivery marketplace.

The placements have boundaries. Eater’s inclusion is limited to select maps, and Wonder does not say every Grubhub restaurant appears in either discovery service. It supplies no order-volume results.

Alexa carries the cart further#

Amazon had already announced conversational delivery ordering on March 31. Its rollout began with Alexa+ customers using newer Echo Show 8 devices and larger. June’s roundup consequently does not mark the feature’s first announcement.

The setup begins in the Alexa app, where a customer connects a Grubhub or Uber Eats account through the Food & Reservations section. Past orders then synchronize, allowing the person to reorder or search for a different restaurant by name or cuisine.

During the conversation, customers can add items, change quantities and customize selections while viewing the cart. The company also describes matching spoken requests to menu items. Amazon says the screen shows a complete order summary, including item names, quantities, individual prices and the total, before purchase. Afterward, customers can receive status updates or ask Alexa about progress.

This covers more of the transaction than a recommendation link. The customer can revise the meal and review its cost in the same conversational flow. Account connection, compatible hardware and the final purchase review are concrete steps in that process, rather than evidence that every voice-assistant user has access.

Bilt adds a redemption decision#

Bilt’s January 21 member announcement introduced a $10 monthly credit toward Grubhub-fulfilled restaurant or grocery delivery, with availability listed for March 1. Bilt Cash is a separate balance earned alongside Bilt Points.

The rewards explanation matters because the delivery benefit requires a redemption. Bilt described dollar-for-dollar use of Bilt Cash within its partner network. Wonder’s June account specifies exchanging $10 in Bilt Cash for $10 in Grubhub credit each month. The diner is directing an existing reward balance toward delivery.

Bilt’s January announcement also listed two separate restaurant redemptions. At select Bilt Dining partners, members could apply Bilt Cash toward one visit per month through Mobile Dining Checkout. The limit was $25 per visit. For dining-experience bookings, the announced allowance was up to $50 monthly, with March 1 availability.

These options share a reward currency but pay for different purchases. Mobile Dining Checkout applies to a meal at a partner restaurant; the experience credit pays toward a booking. Grubhub’s credit applies to delivery, giving members another use for their earned balance.
