AmRest is recruiting restaurant staff for Taco Bell at Warsaw’s Blue City, offering training at its existing center in the city. The notice, displaying an October 14 date, shows preparation for the brand’s planned Polish launch.

The partnership announced May 22, 2026 pairs Taco Bell with an operator already established in Poland. The companies expect the first restaurant in this expansion to open in the fourth quarter, with additional locations to follow over time. Taco Bell’s European general manager, Ian Cranna, cited AmRest’s operating experience and local market knowledge when explaining the choice of partner.

The Blue City job description puts that preparation into everyday restaurant terms. Applicants do not need previous experience. They would work at the register or in the kitchen according to the team’s needs, prepare products to Taco Bell standards, and help keep the restaurant clean and running smoothly.

AmRest advertises flexible schedules, an employee meal and opportunities to progress toward shift-manager roles. Training is offered at its center on Warsaw’s al. Solidarności. The benefits also include discounts at the group’s other brands, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King and Starbucks.

Building on an existing network#

AmRest’s first-half report shows the size of the operation behind the launch. At June 30, its Polish network contained 694 restaurants across KFC, Burger King, Starbucks and Pizza Hut. That total includes 16 franchised Pizza Huts as well as restaurants AmRest runs directly.

In its September results announcement, AmRest said the Taco Bell partnership would use existing capabilities in restaurant development, supply chain, digital services and delivery. Chief Financial Officer Eduardo Zamarripa described adding another brand in a core market as consistent with selective investment, using infrastructure and experience the group had already developed.

AmRest’s description of its support departments makes those capabilities more concrete: food service and procurement handles suppliers, logistics, product development, quality and safety, while digital and marketing oversees mobile apps, kiosks and online ordering. These are companywide functions.

That approach sits alongside lower group capital spending. AmRest’s capital expenditure fell to €46.1 million in the first half of 2026 from €69.7 million a year earlier, a decline of €23.6 million, or about 34%. The company attributed the reduction to a more selective allocation of capital, emphasizing execution, cash generation and investment returns.

AmRest also reported 29 restaurant openings and 103 renovations across the group in the first half. The opening count includes relocations.

AmRest’s July bank-financing amendment added up to €100 million in revolving credit capacity for group working capital and extended maturity to 2031.

For Taco Bell, the announced Polish menu includes tacos, burritos and quesadillas, with vegetarian options. The announcement leaves further restaurant locations and precise opening dates for later updates.

In the second quarter of 2026, parent Yum! Brands reported Taco Bell International system-sales growth of 13% excluding currency movements and same-store-sales growth of 5%, both compared with the same period a year earlier.

AmRest reiterated the planned Polish launch in an October 6 filing, saying preparations were continuing for later this year.
