Decision Logic announced Vitals and ShiftFlow on September 23, describing the pair as tools for monitoring restaurant performance and organizing work while managers remain on the floor.
The company says Vitals presents 34 near-real-time measures spanning performance, labor, productivity and operating risk. Managers can see sales against forecast, labor against schedule and approaching overtime, as well as productivity trends and voids or discounts needing attention.
Decision Logic says ShiftFlow combines recurring and immediate tasks in a mobile workflow. Existing schedules can generate tasks, leaders overseeing restaurants can send work, and managers can add tasks during a shift. Its nine task types include inventory counts, line checks, maintenance, closing work and scheduled orders.
In a December 17, 2021 product explanation, Decision Logic described mobile operating work through its Digital Manager app. The company said managers could access line checks, temperature checks, waste tracking and training through standardized processes. It presented the app as a way to handle work away from a desk and spend more time with guests and employees.
The same article described Employee Central’s role in scheduling. General managers could create schedules and send them to employees’ phones, while employees could create their own logins and swap shifts.
For inventory reporting, Decision Logic described dashboards that could track variance as frequently as daily and compare performance across shifts, time periods and restaurants.
The September announcement says both products are available, with beta customers using them. It names Toast and Qu as Vitals’ launch integrations, with more planned. For ShiftFlow, it specifies no point-of-sale dependency for Decision Logic customers.
