Brinker International plans to reach 30 new restaurant openings a year by fiscal 2029, pairing development in new trade areas with additional investment in remodeling existing restaurants. The Chili’s parent announced the target in its September 17 investor-day release.

The company’s longer-term financial targets call for annual revenue growth of 4% to 6% through fiscal 2029, supported by unit growth of 2% to 3%.

CEO Kevin Hochman said the company would add spending on remodels and new Chili’s restaurants while continuing to invest in food, value and hospitality. That puts existing restaurant upgrades alongside new development in the company’s next phase of growth.

The plans follow fiscal 2026, when Chili’s company-owned comparable restaurant sales rose 9.2%. Growth was 5.6% in the fourth quarter, which ended June 24, according to Brinker’s August 12 results. Both figures compare sales with the corresponding prior-year period.

In that August announcement, Brinker forecast fiscal 2027 capital expenditures of $265 million to $285 million and total revenue of $6.15 billion to $6.27 billion. The revenue outlook includes a 53rd operating week in the fourth quarter, which the company estimated would add approximately 2% to annual revenue.
